As the Withholding Tax Group, we offer services in the following areas:
Our tasks
- We assess the taxable securities assets and the associated income of natural persons. To do this, we require the securities statement, which is submitted along with the tax return.
- We are also responsible for calculating the withholding tax claim and the additional tax withheld in the United States. The Tax Department handles refunds or offsets.
- We determine the eligibility to credit foreign withholding taxes (foreign withholding taxes deducted on dividends, interest, and royalty income that cannot be reclaimed abroad). The Tax Department handles refunds or offsets.
- We verify the tax residency of individuals in Switzerland to allow them to reclaim withholding tax deducted abroad on dividends, interest, and royalties as per the applicable double taxation agreements.
