About us
The Department of Health serves the health needs of the people of Zug.
Our work spans hospitals, specialized long-term care, rescue services, health promotion and prevention, sports, regulation of healthcare professions, therapeutic products control, food safety, and veterinary services.
The Department of Health is composed of five offices and the Statistics Department. In addition, the Old-Age and Survivors' Insurance (AHV) Compensation Office/Disability Insurance (IV) Office is administratively assigned to the Department of Health.
Management
Until the new Director of the Department of Health takes office, Landammann Andreas Hostettler will take over as Deputy Director of the Department of Health.
